Sorting and ranking files

The File Browser allows you to sort files using several sort options. You can also sort by ascending or descending order.
Ranking lets you manually control the sort order of files. You can edit the ranking of an image.
    Sorting files
Choose an option from the Sort menu.
Sorting by ascending or descending order
Choose Sort > Ascending Order. A check mark indicates that files are sorted in ascending order. No check mark indicates descending order.
    Ranking files:
Select one or more files. Choose View > Show Rank from the File Browser menu bar, and then do one of the following:
    • If you're ranking one file, click the Rank text box below the image thumbnail, type a rank (containing letters or numbers), and press Enter (Windows) or Return (Mac OS).
    • If you have one or more files selected, choose Edit > Rank, type a letter, and press Enter (Windows) or Return (Mac OS).
