Customize palettes

Customize the arrangement of the palettes and save the arrangement as a workspace.
Whether you perform specialized production tasks in Photoshop, share the computer with others, or just prefer a specific layout, you can create custom workspaces that suit your needs and the way you prefer to work. For example, the palettes you use most often when retouching photos may differ from the palettes you use when creating Web sites. By saving each palette arrangement as a workspace, you can instantly return to it by choosing it from the Window > Workspace submenu.
  • Close any palettes you don't plan to use.
  • If a palette you use is not currently displayed, choose it from the Windows menu.
  • Organize your palettes by dragging them to the palette well or arranging them in the workspace as you want them to appear.
  • Choose Window > Workspace > Save Workspace.
  • Name and save your workspace, and click OK. Avoid punctuation (for example, / , : ) when naming your workspace. Your workspace appears on the Window > Workspace submenu.
